Hi I'm Jennifer

I'm Hispanic, a soon-to-be missionary, a two-jobs-for-me kind of worker, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Growing up I never had a definite home. My family and I constantly moved around because of work in the U.S and part of Mexico. As we traveled from one place to another I learned how you didn't need the fanciest of gadgets to have fun. I taught myself how to knit and crochet; from blankets to scarves, to toys and dolls. I've learned how to embroider, although I bleed more then create, and learned that no matter how long it takes each step is important and necessary. In the end you can make something beautiful, as long as you work for it. Along with these hobbies I enjoyed reading and writing about the places we saw as well as drawing them out. I love using pastels, colored pencils, and markers in my work and am continuing on improving my techniques constantly. Yet, no matter where we ended up, there was always the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints nearby. They say home is where the heart is, and my home is constantly by my side.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in His church ever since I was a child. When I was younger, though, I was pulled away from it by personal matters but witnessed how my life changed to the worse when I no longer had the Lords light in my life. As I grew older I became more determined to be apart of His church but obstacles continued to come in my way, causing my life to seem as if something were missing. Certain events lead me back into the Lords arms, and now that I have finally gained His light once more I will protect it dearly in my heart. I am a witness of how my life became better when I returned to the Lords church and will continue to live the life that He wants each and everyone of us to have.

How I live my faith

One way I live my faith is by teaching a class during Sunday school in our Spanish Ward. Every Sunday I feel closer to the Lords side as I teach others of His words. As many of them are new converts I am constantly facing new questions and am growing closer to His side as I seek answers. Another way I (will soon) live the Gospel is when I go on a mission to Albania this year. As each day crawls closer I am constantly reminded that this is truly the one true path to be by the Lords side.
