Hi I'm Bill

I grew up in Pennsylvania and joined the Church at age 27, now I'm a mormon.

About Me

I spent the majority of my adult life serving my country as a physician in the Navy Medical Corps. I have a great love for my country, its people, heritage and culture. My profession has given me several opportunities to participate in medical missions around the world. I'm now retired and have the opportunity to travel, visit family and serve others.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a religious family that faithfully attended church. I was introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by my college roommate., who also introduced me to a young lady that would become my wife. A member of her congregation befriended me, and invited me to church activities and worship services. When the missionaries challenged me to read the Book of Mormon, I was ready. I read the book and prayed sincerely to know of its truth. I received a quiet answer from the Lord that The Book of Mormon was a second testimony of Jesus Christ. This prepared me for baptism and all the blessings that come from being obedient to the Lord.

How I live my faith

I had the opportunity to belong to a great scout troop when I was growing up, and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. I enjoy working with young people and have held various positions in the scouting organization. Working with young people is such a refreshing experience. They bring enthusiasm and a great spirit into everything they do.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

We believe that we are all brothers and sisters. I look forward to helping anyone that I can help. They do not need to believe the same things that I do in order for me to help. Some of my greatest experiences have been as a medical missionary, helping those of other faiths. Show more Show less
