Hi I'm Gabe

I was born and raised in Denton, Texas. I've been called to serve a mission in the Ghana Kumasi mission in Africa. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a ton of things I'm interested in. I love to work with my dad doing carpentry work in houses, I love to play soccer and basically every other sport. I love to play video games with my friends and sometimes my family. I love riding motorcycles and roller coasters and everything in between. I love the rush of adrenaline and doing sometimes dangerous and scary things to push my comfort zone. I love to learn about how the world works whether it's physics, technology, cell phones, animals, the ocean, and so on. The world and everything in it fascinates me, and i love learning about it! I am an Eagle scout, I graduated high school, and now I'm going to Ghana on a 2 year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the LDS church, but that doesn't mean I was immediately converted. It was a long process that took time and effort, and the results were worth it. I love this church because of the Spirit there, the friendly people, the support of those who are there, and the teachings and standards I am personally held to. We have tons of churches in Denton, and you can tell the difference between the LDS members and those of other religions. Some churches around here don't have the high moral standards we do and I am truly blessed to have grown up in the LDS church and see the difference in standards. I know this is the one church on the face of the earth that teaches truth, righteousness, and really pushes their members to live the standards set for all ages. I know i am called to Ghana through the Holy Ghost and I know that it is the place I am supposed to be. I know Joseph Smith was a genuine man of God and lived his life accordingly. I know what the LDS church preaches is truth and it is the same at every church. I love this church and everything about it.

How I live my faith

I go to church with a congregation of about 300 people around my age. I go to religion classes during the week and on Sundays, I teach a class of 20 people give or take about the basics teachings of the LDS church. I love teaching and those people in my congregation. I play basketball every week with a bunch of church members and have a total blast!!! I'm definitely not the best, but I'm there for the fun and the support of my friends. I try to participate in all the activities I can, and especially in the service projects.
