Hi I'm Zach

Born and raised in Australia. Living in Melbourne. I'm studying a diploma of nursing and work as a pool lifeguard. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a lover of anything outdoors and especially the beach. Family is important to me and i'm at my happiest when i get to share both the simple and exciting experiences with family and friends. I live with my mum,dad and 4 siblings whom i love dearly (+1 cat). I'm currently a student learning the nursing profession. Hope to down the track work as a nurse in the hospital emergency department or pediatric unit. Favourite colour is blue, movie is anything disney, smell is freshly watered tomato plants in the garden, motorbike brand is KTM, food is pasta. I really feel that God loves us and life is an opportunity and a huge blessing!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon for many reasons but the most fundamental is because of Jesus Christ the Son of God. I believe that Jesus is both our Saviour and also greatest role model we can turn to. He has helped and strengthened me through many trials both personal and involving my whole family. He comforts me when i'm feeling weak. I believe that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints is His church on the earth with the fullness of his gospel and containing all we need for me and my family to be happy now and also after this life. I have a firm belief of these things because i have had the spirit confirm it in my heart and mind as i've prayed, studied, and experienced to know if these things are true.

How I live my faith

Every Tuesday evening i'm involved with running activities for the youth of the Church and their friends from any other faith. It's known as the mutual program and we meet together and do things like play sports, teach each other new skills like cooking (it turns out none of us are yet very good and all very messy), build go karts, go for bike rides, and lots of other fun. Myself and the other leaders in the program are involved because we want to help youth have uplifting fun and forge good friendships. It's a volunteer position through the church and is known as a calling. I live my faith through accepting callings and other opportunities in my day to day to try and care and love others as Jesus Christ would.

What is being a Mormon like?

Zach
It's the best! It helps me all the time as i'm encouraged to learn about Gods plan for me and my family through the study of the scriptures and words of modern prophets, prayer, and going and following Gods plan with faith to experience the joy of it for myself. I've really felt close to God and Jesus Christ and at my happiest as i've tried to understand and live the principles taught by the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints. I think being a mormon is all about trying to be like Christ so even though i often fall short i want to be the best and most Christlike man i can be and being a member of the church, being a mormon, it helps me do that.
