Hi I'm Tony

My spirit animal is the koala bear. Floral ties are life. Guitars are bae. Beaches are fun. Missionary work is bomb. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi my name is Tony Oswald and I like to party. I'm currently serving in the Florida Orlando Mission (2016-2018)! Things I like to do include playing guitar and listening to good music. Yellowcard, All Time Low, Blink, really anything that has guitars in it. I grew up in American Fork, Utah and absolutely love it. I enjoy eating, sleeping, and preaching, not necessarily in that order. My passion is making music and jamming to songs I've learned. It'd be pretty cool if I could luck out and do that for a profession someday. I love hanging out with friends, watching Marvel movies, and Panda Express Orange Chicken.

Why I am a Mormon

I guess to put it in a nutshell, I'm a Mormon because I have the knowledge that this life isn't it. There is so much more going on than just me and my problems. However, that being said, Heavenly Father still cares about my problems. He's here to listen and to help me. Sometimes, I'm an idiot and screw up; Jesus felt that too. I'm never ever alone. "My son, peace be unto thy soul. Thine adversity and thine afflictions shall be but a small moment. Then, if thou endure it well, God shall exalt thee on high. Thou shalt triumph over all thy foes. Thy friends do stand by thee and shall hail the again with warm hearts and friendly hands." -D&C 121:7-9

How I live my faith

Well, to begin, I decided I wanted to serve as a missionary and help others find their way back to Christ. That's my favorite thing to see. More than music, or movies, or food, seeing people's testimonies grow is the single coolest thing to witness. I've seen, both in myself and in others, the importance of doing the little things that God asks us to do. When I do the little things, it shows Him that I can be trusted with the bigger things. I have a strong testimony that this work that we're doing as missionaries and as members is truly the work of God. Joseph Smith really saw God and Jesus Christ. They, in reality, called him to translate the Book of Mormon. Because of that, my life has changed.
