Hi I'm Daniel Hallstrom

I'm a 19 year old trying to juggle college and still finding time to hang out with friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a normal 19 year old kid who graduated from High School with decent grades. I did a lot of different sports but never really did amazing at any of them. I went to community college for a semester and have one left till I leave with my associates. I plan on going into flight training to become a pilot.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that God lives. I grew up in the church but being told that God is there and knowing He is are two completely different things. Over the last few years I've come to realize that what my church teaches is true. I know that God lives and that He loves us. I know that because of that He has created the church so that we can have His guidance in our daily lives. Many people look at the God's commandments as restrictions but I know that just as many fathers teach their children the best way to live their lives; God tells us to avoid things that would bring us sorrow and pain. I know that God is our Father in Heaven and that He wants us to be the best people we can be. This world isn't meant to be perfect, bad things happen to the best of us, but every thing happens for a reason.

How I live my faith

In two days i'm leaving everything behind to go on my mission. It wasn't an easy choice to drop everything for two years but it's something I needed to do. As far my regular life in the church went I was a primary teacher for the past year, which is basically teaching lessons to little kids around 12 years old. Every week I go to church Sunday morning for a few hours and every month I home teach a few families. I've learned more by teaching then I've ever learned being taught and I'm looking forward to two more years of it.
