Hi I'm Dallin

I am from North Carolina. I am an identical twin, an outdoors enthusiast, and I am proud to be a Mormon.

About Me

I love being active and being outdoors! I appreciate working hard but believe that is just as important to play hard. I am currently attending college at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. In high school, I managed my own landscaping business with my identical twin brother. When I wasn't working, I filled my days with dirt biking and mountain biking, boating and water sports, hiking, camping, and just hanging out with friends. I now work at an outdoor adventure shop, so I get to help people learn to love the outdoors every day. Its great! I was also captain of my track team in high school and ran the 200 meter, 400 meter, and 800 meter races. I don't consider myself much of a distance runner, but hope to become one someday. I love being able to have fun with my friends and just enjoy life!

Why I am a Mormon

I am proud to be a Mormon. People ask me all the time "why do members of your church choose to follow such strict rules?" or "why aren't Mormons allowed to do this?". The answer is simple. Although it may seem that I am "missing out" by choosing not to participate in some activities, I have found that by following the commandments of the Lord and obeying the "rules" of my faith, I am MUCH happier than I would be if I lived otherwise. The true and full gospel of Jesus Christ, which the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints offers, brings me more blessings and happiness than any temporal object or action ever could. I know that is true, and that is why I choose to live my life in a different way than others around me. The fact that so many other Mormons feel the same way is just further confirmation to me that these things are true. I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I LOVE living life as a Mormon. Growing up, I was one of the few members of the Latter-Day Saint church (the Mormon church) in my area, so I had lots of people ask me about what I believe and why I act the way I do. I was then able to share with my friends a little bit about the Mormon faith and what we believe. I felt like I was an example and a representative of the church everywhere I went, and was able to teach others about my faith by the way I live! Now while I am at college, I volunteer my time and energy as a leader for all of the men in my congregation! I help to organize activities, make sure that everyone's needs/problems are met, and teach doctrinal lessons. I love being able to form friendships and relationships with the guys in my congregation through my service.
