Hi I'm Kirsten Seamons

I grew up in Utah. I'm a student, going into Archaeology, and have always wanted to serve a full-time mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been called and am currently serving in the Texas Houston East Mission, Spanish speaking. I love this Gospel and I am so grateful to have this opportunity to serve my Savior for 18 months :)

Why I am a Mormon

I love this Gospel. I grew up in it, and I've lived it ever since. It brings me a sense of purpose and strength that I've found nothing else in this world truly does. God helps me to see who I truly am and to grow to my full potential. I know He loves me, and that he loves each of us (including you). He sent his son to Atone for our sins, so that we can live with Him again, for eternity, in happiness. I may not be a convert to the Church, but I do believe that I have learned for myself the truths of this world, and the truths of the Gospel. I am so grateful to everyone in my life who have helped me through the hard times and helped me to be stronger. God has placed so many amazing people in my path, and I just hope I can repay him for that someday. The Atonement is real and everlasting, Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ live, and love us, and guide us each day, with the help of the Holy Spirit. Joseph Smith was a true prophet, and I testify that we have true and living prophets in the world today. I am so grateful to be in this great Church that has been restored in these, the Latter Days, and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I love helping people wherever I go. My main goal in everyday life is to emulate the Savior. He was our true example and I like to treat people like he would treat them if He were still here in the flesh. I'm a Visiting Teaching Supervisor in my ward, so I basically check up on the visiting teachers and see if they need any help.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Kirsten Seamons
A husband and wife can be together forever--not just in this life. Families can be together forever in Heaven because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, and the Restoration of the Gospel. The Atonement made it possible that we can return to our Heavenly Father's presence in Heaven, and the Restoration of the Gospel made possible the sealing of families, where families can be sealed for time and all eternity. What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Kirsten Seamons
Though impossible to explain in simple words, the Atonement can be simply explained as just that: the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ for the sins of the world. We are imperfect and commit sin in this life, and without the Atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ we would be too imperfect to enter into the kingdom of God to live with him forever. Show more Show less
