Hi I'm Katelyn Anderson

I'm from Utah, I've been called to serve in the Brazil Recife mission, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I'm Katelyn! I've lived in Utah my whole life, I have two wonderful parents, and 4 awesome siblings. I graduated high school back in 2015 and afterwards I was able to attend college for a semester. In November of 2015 I received my mission call to serve in the Brazil Recife mission for 18 months. I leave I just a couple of days and I am very excited to serve the people of Brazil! I love to play tennis, the piano, and to be outdoors. I love my family and I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

Both of my parents are members of the Church. Because of that, I have grown up in the Gospel and was baptized when I was 8 years old. Even though I was young when I was baptized, I still had a deep desire to be a member because I could feel of the goodness and truth within the Church. Life is not easy for anyone-- but thanks to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and being a Mormon, I have been given the strength throughout my life to get through every challenge. I know that that strength comes because of my Savior Jesus Christ and His Atonement. There is not a doubt in my mind that the true Gospel of Jesus Christ was restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the organization that contains this true and complete gospel. Nothing makes me happier than being a Mormon and I hope that anyone reading this would also desire to have the happiness that comes from being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

Growing up, I was apart of the Church's youth group for girls called Young Women's. During my time in Young Women's I was able to help plan activities for the youth and serve the other girls in Young Women's. But now, for the next 18 months, I will be living my faith by serving a mission. As a missionary I will invite others to come unto Christ and teach them about the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. As a missionary I will prepare others to be baptized and ultimately be worthy to enter the temple and receive the blessings contained inside. A big part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is sharing the Gospel with others. I will be living my faith as I share my faith and the happiness of the Gospel.
