Hi I'm Bryan Gutierrez

I grew up in Southern, California and I love to run. I'm a Mormon. I know it, live it, and love it.

About Me

One of my favorite things to do is being outside. A few of my hobbies would be running, surfing, skiing, hiking, camping, and being adventurous. Because I am from Southern California, I had the luxury of living fairly close to the beach. My dad taught me how to surf at age nine, and got me hooked from then on. Running has become a passion of mine, and is a way I clear my mind and focus on what is truly important to me. During the winter time, my family and me love to Ski and spend time together.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a great love for this Gospel. The Gospel of Jesus Christ provides all who accept it a hope and a surety that there will be a better tomorrow, that bad days are what we need, and that we are literally never alone. I am a Mormon because I love my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and I have a full knowledge that they love me. I am a Mormon because I love The Book of Mormon, which is the keystone of this great religion. I think what I love most about being Mormon is knowing that Families are Forever, and that we ALL can be with our families for eternity.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in The Billings, Montana Mission. I love my mission and love sharing the gospel. As a missionary, our purpose is to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the resorted Gospel, through Faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, Repentance, Baptism, receiving the Gift of The Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. I love that purpose for several reasons: One, it allows me the opportunity to share my love of this great gospel, and the privilege to witness The Gospel of Jesus Christ change peoples lives.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Bryan Gutierrez
Absolutely not. As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, we are entitled to help all who are in need. We certainly help those of our faith; however, we strive to look for opportunities to help and serve everyone. The Mormon Church has donated more than $1 billion in cash and material assistance to 167 different countries in need of humanitarian aid since it started keeping track in 1985. Many of these countries have few to no Mormons, but are also non-Christian. Show more Show less
