Hi I'm Germany

I was born in Mexico and grew up in California. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a college student, studying to be an orthopedic surgeon. I love to run and was on my high school's cross country and track teams all 4 years. I love anatomy and reading as well!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up Catholic. I even attended a private Catholic school for most of my childhood. When my parents got divorced, I was 8 at the time and it was really hard on me. To keep my mind off of it, she tried to take me and my little brother to the Catholic church and I was about to do my first communion, but something was not right. I had so many questions about God and no one knew the answer. And if I asked, I was punished. I didn't understand why anything about God or Christ, everything confused me. I ended up not doing my first communion because I didn't understand anything. On top of that, I was still very depressed because of my parents' divorce. I missed my dad and I was so unhappy. After a year of going to the Catholic church, my mom eventually took us to a different church; the Mormon church. This church was so much happier in my eyes. I could see there was something different. Guys riding bikes in white shirts (missionaries) would come visit us and teach us about God and his plan for us. I asked them my questions and every single one was answered. I didn't feel so lost anymore. I understood God's love for every single one of us and finally, the divorce wasn't such a burden on me anymore. I was able to pray for help and I was given it. I've never been happier than when I joined the Church at 9 years old. I love this Gospel and the peace/happiness it brings into my life. I feel my Father in Heaven's love for me every single day. The scriptures give me so much insight, not just on God, but on life. I'd be lost without this Gospel. That day I promised I would do what those guys in white shirts did for my family and now, I am!

How I live my faith

At church, I help lead the music. I also try to do a lot of community service through the church. I was also given the opportunity to serve as a missionary of the Mormon church!
