Hi I'm Caleb Rhoton

I love writing and playing music, especially with my friends. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have played soccer since I was three and it is definitely my favorite sport! I love being active and hanging out with my friends. I love music, it is definitely where I am most at home, except when I am with my family! I play the clarinet and a few other instruments and I love writing music. I am currently attending Brigham Young University and I am studying to become a composer.

Why I am a Mormon

The Mormon church is centered around the family, and that is why I feel so blessed to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I love my family so much, and I would be so lost without them. I distanced myself from my parents and family once high school started. Not because I was embarrassed or upset at them, that's just how things went. As I approached the last months of my senior year I felt like something was missing. I would usually go to church and try to be the best that I could but I noticed that I just wasn't as happy as before. For a while I had assumed that it was because teenagers in high school go through mood swings. Eventually I decided that talking to my parents about it would help. Seeking my parents advice for the first time in a few years wasn't nerve-wracking but I definitely was not used to it. At first I was a little hesitant to share my problems with them, thinking they would judge me or that I would just be wasting their time. My loving parents only showed me kindness and love of course. They helped me realize that God loved me ,that I was one of his children, and that His son Jesus Christ came to the earth and Atoned for all of mankind's sins.. My parents encouraged me pray for comfort and to read my scriptures everyday (something i had not yet made a habit of). I truly felt the love they had for me, and the love of my savior Jesus Christ. I don't know who or where I would be without my family, but I DO know that they have helped me throughout my whole life and will continue to do so. My Family is the reason I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I grew up as a member of the church and have always loved the gospel. As I was growing up, my family would move around a lot, so I got to meet many great people. I live my faith by trying to be a little better everyday. I love my church but I am not perfect, but I do know that Jesus Christ loves me and that as long as I am doing my best to live like he did, I will be blessed.
