Hi I'm Daniel

I am from Salt Lake, Utah. I am a senior in high school and i'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a senior at high school. I have been called to serve in the Chile Concepción Mission leaving in July. I have been accepted into BYU-Provo and once I get back from my mission I will begin classes there. I eat a lot of burritos and thin crust pizza, and I play soccer and basketball with on my high school team. I love being outdoors. My favorite summer activity is driving down to Lake Powell and boating and wake boarding. My favorite winter activity is sledding with my nieces and nephews.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon. I am the youngest of seven children, who all have stayed faithful to the church. Being raised in the church, I relied on my parent's testimonies and it was enough for me until I entered high school. In high school there were a lot of other views and people who shamed those who were strong in their faith. My testimony wasn't enough to stand up for what I believe in, and I found myself drifting. After about a year, I realized that I wasn't happy, and I turned to my Heavenly Father in earnest prayer and scripture study. I gained a testimony of my own in the gospel, and I felt the power of the Atonement as it gave me happiness and purpose. It has been the happiest time of my life ever since, and I am so grateful for the Atonement and the love of our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am the leader of the 16-17 year olds in my ward, and I represent all the young men age 12-18 in my ward as well as the neighboring wards in our stake youth council. I go home teaching with my Dad as my companion. I try and lift up people who are having a hard time, and to tell everyone who will listen about the gospel. It has brought so much joy into my life and I can't wait to serve my mission and share the gospel full time.

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

Every person is born with the Light of Christ inside of them. When they hear the truth of the gospel it calls to them, because they recognize it as coming from Christ. The plain simple truths of the Gospel answer the questions that come from living on this Earth. Show more Show less
