Hi I'm Stephanie Nelson

I grew up in Utah. I love the outdoors and helping others. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, my name is Stephanie. I went to college for a year before I decided to put everything on hold and serve a mission. I was living with my grandma and working at a tool store to earn mission money. I enjoy anything outside. I love to hike and ride horses, boating is also super fun. I have a bad knee so it makes life hard sometimes but I try not to let it stop me from doing what I enjoy. I am now serving as a full time missionary for the Church. I am in the MTC but will soon be headed out to Georgia to share this message with anyone that will listen!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon faith and was raised going to church every week. When I went off to college I really had to decide if I wanted to be a Mormon. I stopped going to church cause I felt that maybe being Mormon wasn't what I was meant to be. After a month or two of not attending church, not studying my scriptures and not praying regularly I felt weird. I was not doing well in school and I just didn't feel as energized and hopeful as I had when I was doing those things. I started going back to church and doing the simple things to bring me closer to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know that being a Mormon had helped me so much in my life and made it easier for me to find peace. I am a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ and I know that this is the only true Church. I am a Mormon because I know the Church is true!

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith everyday by being myself. I don't lower my standards for anyone. I wear modest clothing even when it is not popular. Each week I try to get together with some of my friends and we go visit young adults our age that are interested in the church. Sometimes we talk about gospel stuff but most of the time we are just there to be there friend. That way if they come to a church function they already have friends. I also live my faith by putting my life on hold for a year and a half to serve a full-time mission in Georgia. I live and love what I teach and teach what I live and love.
