Hi I'm Caden

I'm an average Joe who loves music, brown suede vests, long walks on the beach, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'd like to consider myself a musician. I've never really been the most talented kid in the world, but I found the guitar in junior high and I've loved it ever since. I love to sing, perform, and just share the gift of music with people. The amazing thing about songs is that they can be performed in front of 80,000 people, and each person will sing it back for 80,000 different reasons. It's the great communicator, music breaches gaps caused by language or cultural barriers. I truly believe that music is the main highway to a person's heart.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I truly believe that the LDS church is the one completely true church on the earth. That's not to say that other churches are bad, many of the other churches have very good teachings in them. But they lack the whole truth. They lack the priesthood keys and saving ordinances that were restored to the earth through the prophet Joseph Smith. I'm a Mormon because I have had too many moments in my life that prove to me that the Book of Mormon is truly another testament of Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon because there is no other title I would rather wear, there is no group or church that can offer what the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and that is eternal life and the blessings of complete salvation.

How I live my faith

The way I live my faith by trying to be kind and Christ-like as much as possible. I believe that, in the end, it's more important to be kind than it is to be right. Now, that doesn't mean that if somebody is attacking my beliefs that I won't defend them, but just because you disagree with someone does not give you permission to be rude or malicious towards them. We are all here to learn, we are all here to make mistakes, and we are all in the same boat. Life isn't easy for anyone, we all are given specific trials that we need to learn and to grow. "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." -Matthew 22:37-40
