Hi I'm Rawley Ficklin

I grew up in Cedar Falls, IA. I currently attend Brigham Young University as a freshman, and I am a mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a family of five with two brothers. My dad is heavily involved in baseball research and loves the game. As such I've been playing from a very early age. I played all the way through high school. In addition to playing baseball I played percussion in high school and made marching snare for marching band. I love being outdoors, especially in the mountains. One of the greatest things for me about attending Brigham Young University is the ability to see mountains right outside my classrooms.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I love the church and the happiness and joy it brings into my life. I love the church and love to feel the peace and love I feel through the Spirit. The church helps give my life purpose and a way to live my life that is good and worthwhile. I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to serve God and his children.

How I live my faith

In the church currently I am serving as a group leader for family night activities in one of the churches here. I get to have fun every Monday night with some great people and do activities that are both very fun and spiritually uplifting. I try to help out in the community as much as possible with service projects. One of my most favorite memories was completing my Eagle Scout service project where I built warm-up bullpens for the rec team baseball fields. I always try to be a good citizen and to help people whenever I can.
