Hi I'm Rebecca Tribe

I plan one day to teach special education. I'm currently a missionary serving in Santa Rosa, California, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

Before my mission, I loved to ballroom dance, particularly country swing dancing and dancing the cha-cha. I attended Dor one semester, preparing to major in Special Education when I return from my mission. I am currently serving an 18 month mission in Santa Rosa, Califonia for the LDS church. I raised Guide Dogs for the Blind all throughout high school. My favorite thing in the world is when I can help my friends with something they are struggling with, or help someone better understand the gospel. I'm serving a mission because this church and this gospel has brought me an unbelievable peace and joy during the darkest times of my life, and I want to help other people find that same joy. I know the Gospel cam give a purpose and perspective to this life that, without this gospel, doesn't always make sense. The four most important things to me are God, my family, my friends, and my education. I strive every day to be the best that I can for that day, and to follow what God wants me to do.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have received a personal witness that this church contains the fullness of the Gospel. I know that my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ know and love me personally and perfectly. I know that the Book of Mormon is the Word of God, and that in reading it we can receive help and guidance in our lives. While I was born to a strong LDS family, I stay in the church because I know that it is true. I have felt the Love of God in my life, and I want to share that love with others. I have a testimony that we have a living prophet on the earth today who follows the council of God in directing His living church. I know that living the principles of the Gospel is the best way to have happiness in this life and eternal life in the world to come.

How I live my faith

The main way I am living my faith at the moment is serving a full-time mission for the LDS church. Most of the time, I live my faith by attending church every week, as well as ward activities throughout the week. I love sharing and talking about the Gospel with my friends, because I know that it blesses lives, and provides the strength and comfort that we need. For the last two years, I've attended the temple once a week to do service. I love when I have the opportunity to teach a lesson in Church, because I enjoy leading conversations about Gospel topics. The gospel is the most important thing in the world to me, followed closely by my family and then my friends.
