Hi I'm Liam

I love to make music and tell bad jokes. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a freshman at Brigham Young University and hoping to major in Media Arts. I love everything about movies and I like to edit films. I enjoy playing and writing music and I play five different instruments. I've been very involved in track and field for most of my life as well. I also have a knack for making very bad puns.

Why I am a Mormon

Though I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I have learned and consciously made the decision that I belong to this church. Everything makes so much sense to me. I have learned for myself through study and prayer that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true. I know my Heavenly Father lives and we are His children. Knowing that I am a son of God gives me purpose and hope. I know we can communicate to the Lord through prayer and he answers those prayers. I know this to be true because he has answered my prayers on many occasions. I know that we can return to God's presence through the Atonement of Jesus Christ and His sacrifice. I am so grateful for this knowledge and I hope to share it with many people.

How I live my faith

I have callings that let me contribute to the church and the members of my congregation. My part in the ward is that I organize the music that will be sang and performed in church meetings every Sunday. I also assist in other music related activities and services. I'm also a home teacher, meaning I visit specific people in my ward outside of church and teach them spiritual thoughts as well as help them with their needs.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is an individual's own personal belief that they know something is true. Anyone can gain a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ through studying the scriptures and prayer. A testimony of the gospel can include knowing for a fact that Heavenly Father exists and loves us, or knowing that Joseph Smith is a prophet who was called upon by God to restore the Jesus Christ's church. Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Mormons do NOT worship Joseph Smith. We believe that Joseph Smith was a great and very influential man who had an immense part in the restoration of the true church, however he was only an instrument in the hands of God. We worship God our Eternal Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. They are the center of the gospel. It is through Joseph Smith's efforts that enables us to worship God and Jesus Christ.
