Hi I'm George

I grew up in southern Illinois. I am a Bassoon Performance student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Currently, I'm a college student studying Bassoon Performance. I am the oldest of five brothers in my family. My family has moved a lot, and I have lived in Alaska, Texas, and Japan. My hobbies include music and running. I ran track and field, cross-country, and played in a competitive marching band in high school. I play the bassoon, piano, tuba, and trombone.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church, and my family attended our meetings every week. Now that I am an adult, I have a choice in whether I will go or not, but I choose to continue to go to Church because of the peace it brings to my life and because I have seen how the Gospel has blessed my family. I have learned through difficult times in my life that faith is crucial to my success and happiness.

How I live my faith

In my youth, I loved to participate in service projects with my Young Men's group. Now as a college student, I like to participate in musical groups. I feel closer to Christ when I play music, especially reverent music. Whether I am practicing the hymns on the piano, or playing in a community or church musical group, or participating in my church calling, there is always a wonderful Spirit that can be felt.
