Hi I'm Mia Meredith

I grew up in New York. I'm attending Brigham Young University, studying graphic design. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I absolutely love golf. I played all four years of high school and still continue to play. It allows me to be outdoors and enjoy the beautiful world around us. I'm also very interested in photography. My dad is a professional photographer and the way he loves his job inspires me to make money from a hobby. I'm lucky enough to be able to take some photography classes along with graphic design classes at my college. I'm also definitely a foodie. Not only is cooking fun and rewarding (when it turns out well), but eating is even better. All the different textures and tastes that can bring groups closer together.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of the loving community it provides. When I move to a new place I know that I am always able to connect with new friends by finding the members around me. The church provides a strong support system that I can turn to whenever I am struggling. The love I feel from the members and from my Heavenly Father gives me a sense of belongingness. The LDS church helps me grow to be a better person everyday through the service opportunities that they organize and allows me to be guided through everyday life with the counsel of our latter day prophets.

How I live my faith

I have to opportunity to be an activity planner in our ward. Every monday night, I get together with about twenty members of my church and we enjoy an activity along with a spiritual thought. I love being able to bring the members closer together and get to know each other much better. Along with a little competition in the activities, like a bake off or scavenger hunt, we have meaningful lessons shared about the gospel. I've learned so much by watching these activities strengthen relationships. It has been such a blessing in my life and I can see it changing others lives.
