Hi I'm Sydney

I'm a Georgia peach. I'm a nationally ranked graphic designer and a wannabe dog whisperer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Currently trying to make it in the big school of BYU as a graphic designer. I managed to get from regionals to nationals in a graphic design competition and I'm trying to round out my other interests. For example, I can make a great cup of hot chocolate and I'm learning how to rollerskate, although I can't go very far yet. I am and forever will be passionate about waffles and breakfast food. College is making me want to experience new things and I've started gaining an appreciation of nature from my many hikes. So far, I've been to 5 national parks and I hope to go to more! My favorite color is yellow because it reminds me of my favorite flower, daffodils, which is available during spring, my favorite season. Bumblebees love to fly around flowers and are yellow so they are my favorite animal. Happy carefree things just make me smile!

Why I am a Mormon

Born into the church by loving parents, I had a period of time where I didn't practice my faith. The difference between then and now is startling and is what keeps me going. I was content not being Mormon during that time but I am ecstatic now! Being content didn't satisfy me and I felt the empty ache of wanting something more, something loving in my life. The calming knowledge of a God and His desire to see me succeed has helped my self-confidence, my attitude to others, and my path on life. I know that this faith makes me a better person and I know that when I mess up, I can try again and be the best person that God knows I can be.

How I live my faith

I am preparing to go on an 18 month long mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. This will require me to go to many people of different backgrounds and introduce them to the gospel. I hope to show them the pure love of Christ and tell them about this gospel that has so helped me see the happy and bright things in my life.
