Hi I'm Lizzie Card

I am the youngest of five girls. I love to travel. I love being in school. I'm a mormon.

About Me

My family has moved from NYC to Portland and many places in between. Because of this, I have learned to love new experiences, to see change as an adventure, and to live for the joy that comes with coming to know and understand new people and places. I have worked hard my entire life not only to pay for things that I want, but to allow me the opportunity to build orphanages for children in Ecuador, schools in Mexico, and share the gospel in Argentina. I am motivated in my schooling and work because I feel that no opportunity should be taken for granted. I love to read, watch movies, go on drives up beautiful canyons, and spend time with the people that I love most. In my life I have learned that we choose to be happy, so everyday I decided that no matter what happens, I am going to decide that I am happy. It's worked great so far.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that God leads this church. I know that God loves me and has a plan for me, allowing me to be resurrected and live with my family forever. I know where I came from. I know why I am here. I know where I am going. This is a direct result of growing up with the gospel of Jesus Christ taught in my home. This gospel has blessed me and my family more than even we can ever know, and because of that, I continue to choose everyday to do the little my Father in Heaven asks of me.

How I live my faith

I am currently living my faith by choosing to serve an eighteen month mission in Santa Fe, Argentina. I am dedicating this year and a half of my life to the gospel because I want nothing more than the opportunity to focus solely on the Lord and serve His people. My relationship with my Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ, brings me more joy than anything else in the world and I would love to share that pure happiness with even just one individual in Argentina.
