Hi I'm Jessica McGhie

I grew up in Utah. I am a student at Brigham Young University. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student at BYU in Provo, Utah. Currently my major is General Education, but I am exploring psychology as a possible career option. My family is where I find happiness. I have 2 parents who blessed me with my 6 very best friends, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. I love to read, dance, and be with my friends. Right now I am preparing to serve an LDS mission. I will receive my call in the next month and am looking forward to sharing the Gospel with others.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to be God's church on the earth today. I have felt the healing powers of the Atonement and know of my Savior's love for me. I am a Mormon because this gospel brings me happiness and peace, and I know that it will lead me home to my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to serve others and be a friend to all. I visit teach girls in my ward monthly to check up on them and help them in any way I can. I also volunteer at a homeless shelter in my city to do my part in caring for God's children and serving my community. I live my faith by being a disciple of Christ in my everyday life.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Jessica McGhie
Mormons choose to live their life in a way that will bring them peace on earth and help them find happiness in this life and the next. Members do this through personal prayer, scripture study, and obedience to God's commandments. Families are also an important part of finding happiness. As Mormons, we focus on strengthening our relationship with our Heavenly Father and our families here on earth. We strive to not only find joy in our own lives and with our family, but also work to bring joy to others through friendship, service, and missionary work. Show more Show less
