Hi I'm Rachel

I grew up in the Northwest United States. I love to teach children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a wonderful, supportive husband and five amazing kids. I love to narrate and create music. We as a family love to sing and play music together. We also love to learn new things and share our talents with others. We work together to create games and videos that can be enjoyed by children, helping them learn new concepts.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS church, so I didn't have to search too far for the answers provided in its doctrine when I became old enough to question my beliefs. I was a senior in high school when I wondered if I was doing the right thing by attending the LDS church. I didn't talk to anyone about my struggles. After much prayer, I received confirmation from the Holy Ghost in my heart and in my mind that its doctrines were true, that Joseph Smith was indeed a prophet, that the Book of Mormon was true, and that Jesus Christ did live and appeared, along with Heavenly Father, to Joseph Smith. They came to restore the church as well as living prophets upon the earth again. I feel that it is true, and I know that our Heavenly Father wants us to have joy and to return to Him again. He is our Father. We are His children.

How I live my faith

Right now I am a chorister for the church congregation. Since I love music, and it's been a part of my life since before I can remember, leading music is easy for me to do. I get to be closer to the organ than I would normally be if I were sitting in the pews, so that's a way I can feel the music more and I can feel the spirit of each hymn more strongly, perhaps. It is a blessing, truly!
