Hi I'm Jenna Cook

I'm from Pleasant Grove Utah. I'm currently serving as a volunteer for the church in Yekaterinburg Russia and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently serving at the MTC and I'm on my way to Yekaterinburg Russia! Before this I attended Brigham Young University. I'm going into their Elementary Education program and I love it! I play the violin and piano. I've been to 25 different countries and traveling is one of my favorite things. My family currently lives in Shanghai, China.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this church makes sense. I have read the Book of Mormon and I testify of it's truth. I have grown up in this church my whole life, and I have questioned it time and time again, and every time I have learned more of its truth and what it can do for me. This church makes me HAPPY. Because of this church and because I am a Mormon, I know that God loves me, and that his son Jesus Christ died for me, so that one day I can live with God again.

How I live my faith

Currently I'm serving as a full time volunteer for the church, this means I get to devote all of my time to The Lord. I wake up every day at 6:30 and I go to bed every night at 10:30. While I'm serving at the MTC, I am in a class learning Russian for 6 hours a day, and while I'm not in class I'm either praying, eating, or developing my Russian even further. This might sound crazy to many, and in a lot of ways it is! But I love devoting all my time to The Lord. While serving a mission isn't required of members, it is something I have been preparing for for a long time, and I can easily say it's the best choice I have ever made.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Jenna Cook
As mormons, we love this Gospel! We believe that since God has given us this truth it is our responsibility to share it. Imagine you have a piece of chocolate cake, and your friend is just sitting there watching you eat it. You're going to offer a bite of your cake so they can enjoy it too! That's what it's like for us. This gospel makes us happy and we want to share it with others. Show more Show less
