Hi I'm Hazel

I grew up in a small town in Idaho and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Hazel and I live in a small farming community in Idaho. I completed a year of schooling at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah before receiving a call to serve in the Ukraine Dnepropetrovsk Mission. In my spare time I enjoy golfing, reading, cooking, and watching movies with family and friends. My parents are from Idaho (father) and Quebec, CA (mother) and I have two older sisters and two younger brothers.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love this church. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has provided me with a knowledge and a love for my Heavenly Father. I know without a doubt that He loves me as well and knows me personally and has a plan for me. The church has given me guidance and direction in my life and has inspired me to be a better individual. I have a goal that I am striving for and that is to live my life in such a way that I can return to live with my Heavenly Father and be confident that I am worthy to be in His presence and receive the blessings that He desires for me to have. The church has let me see my own great and divine potential and assures me that I have a destiny to fulfill and a contribution to make. The high standards of the church that I have chosen to follow have blessed my life by protecting my mind and body and have kept me out of harm. I am a member of this church because I know in my heart that it is true.

How I live my faith

I enjoy getting involved with my ward. While I was at college, I regularly participated in our weekly family home evening activities. I have had several callings in my ward where I have served in presidencies as a leader alongside my peers. My first year at Brigham Young University was my first opportunity to participate in visiting teaching. I'm a fairly shy person so I did not think I would be comfortable preparing and teaching monthly lessons but I honestly enjoyed serving them so much. It was incredible to hear them share their thoughts and testimonies concerning the message I had shared and it had a great impact on me and my own testimony.
