Hi I'm Brenn

I grew up in Bountiful, Utah. I am a musician. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a wonderful family in which I am the oldest child with one younger brother. I love school and I love learning. I am a musician, with the ability to play flute, piano, and sing. I am currently attending college to obtain a degree in Music Performance with an emphasis in flute! For twelve years of my childhood I danced ballet and contemporary, and I now dance ballroom (mostly for fun) in college. I love food, especially pizza, grapes, pudding, and pickles. I love cool weather and wish I lived on the beach. 3

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was born to two parents who were already members of this church, I would eventually have to use the agency that God gave me and decide for myself whether I believed in the gospel of Jesus Christ. My loving parents raised me in a way that showed me the definite possibility of a loving Heavenly Father, but I had to consistently pray to God to know that he is there and that he does hear and answer my prayers. Once I began to establish a personal relationship with my Savior Jesus Christ through prayer, I began to read The Book of Mormon, which is another Testament of Jesus Christ, the Savior and Redeemer of the World. As I learned of him and his infinite and eternal sacrifice for us called the Atonement, which allows us to repent and be forgiven of our sins and return after this life to live with him, I felt of his love for me. I prayed to receive a witness that the Book of Mormon was true, and through much searching, pondering, and praying, I truly did. I chose and continually choose to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints because I know it to be true. I know it is God's church here on earth, with Jesus Christ at the head, leading a living prophet and apostles chosen by him to guide the church. I testify of the truthfulness of his gospel. I know he has an infinite love for all of us, his children, here on earth. You can know and feel of this love when you read the Book of Mormon and choose to come unto Christ and follow him. I love my Savior Jesus Christ, and I love living his gospel as a member of this church.

How I live my faith

I know how important it is to not only believe in Jesus Christ and his gospel, but to actively live it. I am currently serving as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints, and I love it. I wear the Lord's name over my heart on my name tag, and represent him in everything that I do and say. I live my faith by constantly treasuring up the word of God in my heart and my mind and letting it change me for the better. I do all I can to align my will with his and obey him wholeheartedly.

What is the Law of Chastity?

The Law of Chastity is a beautiful commandment that God has given us to help us be clean and virtuous in this life. He commands that the sacred power and privilege of procreation must only be exercised between a man and a woman legally wedded as husband and wife. This means that we must not have sexual relations before we are married, and after we are married it is to only be between our husband or wife. Keeping this law brings happiness, safety, self-respect, and peace. It deepens married love and protects families. God loves us and wants what is best for us. Following this commandment and reserving intimacy for marriage will help bring happiness to the family. Show more Show less

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Mormons believe in and love the Holy Bible! It is a powerful and holy record which serves as the base of Christianity. It is rich in history, doctrine, stories, and testimonies that all witness that Jesus Christ is the son of our Heavenly Father. The Bible is the word of God, and was brought about by the writings of holy men of God. As the Church says, "Through the same process we have additional Holy Scripture, including the Book of Mormon, which supports and exalts the Bible." Show more Show less
