Hi I'm Heidi

I am a college student from Virginia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am studying Microbiology and working part-time. I am the oldest of three children. I love reading and travel, when I get the chance, including road trips with family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I am member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I have felt the spirit of God tell me in my heart that this is God's church and that Joseph Smith was His prophet. These feelings make me feel happy, happier than anything else. I have found that as I continue to work hard to live God's commandments, that my knowledge of God and His love for me and everyone else increases. I feel motivated to be my best self and to serve other people.

How I live my faith

I have helped to plan and have participated meetings in preparation for the teenage girls summer camp week held annually. It was fun to discuss different activities we hoped to do with the girls that would help them grow spiritually and build friendships.

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Church members, including leaders, choose to serve in their congregations out of love for God and their fellow men. It also gives those serving the opportunity to grow in knowledge, experience, and love for others. Show more Show less
