Hi I'm Micky T. Vue

I enjoy food and manga! Im from North Carolina. I'm serving in the Anchorage Alaska Mission from 2016-2018 and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from the state of North Carolina and have lived there my whole life. I grew up as a Hmongmon (get it? answer: Hmong and Mormon) and I am the first in my family to serve a mission. I am currently serving in the Anchorage Alaska Mission. Some simple facts about me are: I really like to read manga, I love to play games (any sort such as card, board, online, sports, and anything that consists of fun) and I am in love with food. Food is the source to happiness. I also enjoy the outdoors, such as hiking to the top of a mountain to view the greatness of Gods creation and I also enjoy relaxing by the ocean feeling the breeze. Overall, my goal in life is to always bring laughter into everyone's life by living DC 58:27.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason I am a Mormon is because of the many miracles that have happened throughout my life. When I was little, I grew up with little knowledge of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I never really took the opportunity to take the church or The Gospel seriously. I had the mindset of just going to school, getting an education, getting married, and to live a happy life. I never read the Book of Mormon and I didn't plan to because I felt like it was too much work. But I've come to learn that there is always a turning point in a person's life. My turning point began when my new Young Mens President and I got into a pretty simple yet deep conversation. Near the end of our discussion, he asked me this simple question "Is there a God?" and for some odd reason, this question sparked a huge interest in me into finding out the truth for myself. Finally, I can say after 2 years of hardships and trails, diving through the scriptures, and praying harder than ever that I know that there is a God! I know Heavenly Father lives and that he loves us. I know he has a plan for each and everyone of us. I know he has called a Prophet today to lead and guide us in this time. I know that The Book of Mormon is true and that it works hand to hand with the Bible in sharing the full Gospel of Jesus Christ. The scriptures have inspired me to become a better example each day and I will never forget the Spirit I felt when I knelt down to ask if the things I've read are true. I want to testify that I know the Book of Mormon is true. I would like to leave a verse that really pushed me into finding out for myself if this Church is true. 1 Nephi 10:19 "For he that diligently seeketh shall find; and the mysteries of God shall be unfolded unto them, by the power of the Holy Ghost, as well in these times as in times of old, and as well in times of old as in times to come; wherefore, the course of the Lord is one eternal round." I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving in the Anchorage Alaska Mission. So far it's been such an awesome experience. I've learned so much about our Heavenly Father's plan and everyday my testimony continues to keep growing. I have a testimony of his son, Jesus Christ, and that he died for my sins so I could have the once in a life time chance to return back to our Father. So to answer the question "How I live my faith?", I live my faith by striving everyday to become like Jesus Christ. Just like Nephi, "I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them." 1 Nephi 3:7
