Hi I'm Marlee

I'm a college student. I'm from Wisconsin. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student studying Civil Engineering. I am married to a wonderful man who is studying Civil Engineering as well who always helps me wash dishes and do laundry. I love writing lyrics and melodies, watching sports, and eating dessert. One of the most important things in my life is family. My parents and siblings have supported me throughout my life and my in-laws do the same.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I know that this is His true church on earth. I have felt this to be true with all of my heart and soul. I have felt the love of a kind and caring Father in Heaven. I know that He is mindful of me even though there are billions of people on the earth. He knows my heart. He know's what I am struggling with and is always there to help me feel peace and handle the trials that come my way. I am a member of His church because I believe there is more to life after death. I will live with my Heavenly Father again. I will be with my family; my husband, our future children, my parents and siblings, my ancestors; for eternity. I know that we have a prophet and apostles on the earth today that guide us and share with us those things that God needs us to hear. They testify of the goodness of God and the love that He has for each of us. These men are called by God to share gospels truths and how we can be happy in this life right now. I know that Joseph Smith restored His true church back to the earth and that through living the gospel faithfully every one of use can live with our Heavenly Father once more. The church gives me happiness, hope, and purpose.

How I live my faith

I love going to church every Sunday because it helps me feel peaceful and prepared for the busy week ahead. My husband and I teach a class at church on Marriage and Family Relationships. As we prepare our lessons and read through the teacher's manual, I see how I can be a better person, a better wife, and a better future mom. I have learned how I can strengthen our marriage and keep my husband as my best friend forever even when hard times come. In the beginning I felt like there were a lot of things I could be doing better as a person and a spouse, but I found that I don't need to change all at once. I can work on one tiny thing everyday like being a better listener. This is what the gospel is all about. No one is perfect and to try to be is overwhelming. But working on one simple principle every is easy and brings me closer to my Heavenly Father.
