Hi I'm Annaka

I'm a college student. I love traveling and spending time with friends and family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently in my freshman year of college and loving it. I love to travel and it is my dream to visit six of the seven continents and all five of the world's Disney parks. I also love decorating and designing everything from cakes, to parties to rooms. On a Friday afternoon, you can usually find me napping, reading or watching a movie.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ brings me so much happiness. Though I've been a member my entire life, I don't think I was truly converted to the gospel until I was able to read the Book of Mormon on my own. Shortly after my baptism into the church at age 8, I decided to read the Book of Mormon by myself. It was a long process for an 8-9 year old girl but through persistence I was able to finish it. I prayed to know of its truthfulness and felt this overwhelming calm come over me and I knew the church was true. That's why I'm a Mormon, I never want that calm peaceful feeling to leave me and I know through faith and participation in the church I can continue to have that feeling with me.

How I live my faith

As a high school student, I worked with the youth program planning a variety of both fun a faith-building activities for the other youth my age. I helped to teach lessons, plan dances and mini-conferences, and helped to strengthen my own faith and the faith of my friends. Since coming to college, I have had the opportunity to work even more with the girls my age, helping to plan activities and teach lessons to strengthen their faith and help them to grow as individuals.
