Hi I'm Kennedy

I grew up in Ogden, Utah. I am a student at Snow College. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a music major at Snow College. I play piano and I sing. I also enjoy playing outdoor sports, although I am not very good, and reading. I love spending time with my friends and my family. I can cook if I have a recipe. I love animals, especially my families two dogs. I love the gospel and I don't know where I would be without it.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 8 years old, I had the opportunity to be baptized. The decision was made based on my family and on what I knew from the gospel. In sacrament meeting when I was 9, I listened to a man giving a talk. I don't recall what his talk was about, only that I felt something. I had this feeling that everything he said was true that the gospel was true, that Jesus Christ truly was my Savior and Redeemer, and that Joseph Smith really did restore His church. When I was a junior in High School, my best friend and her brother died in a car accident. When I was told I was so angry with God and I didn't know what to do. A few days later however, I received the answer to an unspoken prayer. It was General Conference. There was a talk given about being grateful in even the hardest circumstances. Although it was difficult, I discovered that when I read the scriptures or prayed to my Heavenly Father, I felt comforted. I also learned to rely on my Savior though the hard times, and I was able to develop a stronger testimony of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I have had many hard trials but through every trial the one thing that helped me overcome the feelings of doubt, or sadness, or anger was the gospel of Jesus Christ and the knowledge of his plan. I know that Heavenly Father has a purpose for all of us and through his son we can find our salvation and find utter joy and peace that cannot and will not be found anywhere else on this Earth.

How I live my faith

I attend Church weekly at 8:30 in the morning. I have a wonderful institute class that I attend on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I try to wake up early and read my scriptures and pray, and go to bed early and pray. I live the word of wisdom. I Talk non-stop about the church. I try to look for the blessings that the Lord provides me each day and I strive to be an example of faithful devotion for my younger siblings. I strive to keep worthy to enter the Holy Temple and always have a temple recommend. I try to surround myself with others who have the same values as me and I try to make others feel appreciated and loved.
