Hi I'm Madeleine

I'm Madeleine, Maddy or Mads depending on what day it is. I plan my life from one travel destination to another and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a undergraduate student, sales consultant, tutor and avid traveller. In June 2014 I was confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In June 2016 I will report to the Preston Missionary Training Centre to commence my service in the England Manchester Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

At this point of my life, what can be so draining at times is to be surrounded or even just be focused on the wicked things of the world where ‘wrong’ seems to be the new ‘right’. However, it is through Jesus Christ that those temptations can be expelled. By having faith and being obedient, I am able to have the Holy Spirit to guide me and walk the path of our Saviour. I understand that I’m not perfect and that I have more to study and learn. Nevertheless, I know that it’s important for us all to realise that we are all children of god and have divine potential. That we can embrace that and strive to be the very best we can be by following in Jesus’ Christ’s example. I am forever grateful of the direction my life has taken and the decision I have made to follow the teachings and commandments of the gospel. I have finally found my everlasting happiness in Christ and will continue to do so as I endure to the end. In fact, I feel so blessed to have the knowledge of the gospel in my life, to have trust in God’s plan and to know that he loves us.

How I live my faith

Since becoming a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I have been able to serve in multiple callings. Presently, I have the opportunity each week to work along the youth and in particular, the young women. We have a motto with the stand out line to being “stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things, and in all places” (Mosiah 18:9). It really resonates with me as a leader as this is our purpose. We believe that as we study the life of Jesus Christ, to ponder on his words, read the scriptures, to pray for understanding, to express your gratitude for the things that He did for you and lastly to seek to develop His attributes, that we can become the children that our Heavenly Father would like us to be.
