Hi I'm Colette

I grew up in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. I'm a missionary for the church serving in Long Beach, California. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from Highlands Ranch, Colorado, but am a student at Brigham Young University-Idaho. I study Communications with an emphasis in Visual Communication. Im about to serve my mission in Long Beach, California, and I couldn't be more excited! I love spending time with friends and family, playing with dogs, and doing anything outside!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I was born into an active Mormon family and have grown up in the Church. Being LDS is normal for me, I've never experienced anything different. In high school, I struggled with my faith. I didn't know if the church was true or not, and I never gained a testimony for myself. There were times I felt like God wasn't answering my prayers and that going to church was a waste of my time. I then prayed to Heavenly Father to know if He was there and if this was the true church. I received peace when I went to church the next couple of weeks and knew that it was the right thing. Heavenly Father answered my prayers and blessed me in so many ways. Being a Mormon has brought me so much happiness in my life. Everything I have I owe to this gospel. My friends, my education, my family, and so much more. I love being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Ive spent the last year in a singles ward up at BYU-Idaho. Some callings I have served in are Ward Missionary and Family Home Evening Group Leader. In these callings I tried my best to invite people to come and participate in wholesome, uplifting activities that invited the spirit into our lives and helped relieve us of the stress we felt from school or work. I also visit taught some other Sisters in my ward. I have come to love visiting teaching as it gave me an opportunity to get to know more people in my ward. As I served people my love for them grew and my love for the Savior grew.
