Hi I'm Jeff Hunter

I was born in Provo & grew up in Orem, UT. I've been a Mormon all my life. I'm a social worker at the VA Med Ctr in Salt Lake.

About Me

I grew up in a blended family in Orem, UT. My stepfather was a stalwart member of the church whom I always admired. It is his example that keeps me coming back to the Mormon faith. I graduated from Orem High School and have degrees from Utah State University (BS in psychology), Brigham Young University (MEd in Counseling & Guidance) and the University of Utah (MSW in social work). I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, walking, working in the yard and hiking.

Why I am a Mormon

The Joseph Smith story of the first vision, from the moment I read it, affected me a great deal. Reading the Book of Mormon confirmed to me that Joseph Smith was God's prophet who re-established the true gospel of Jesus Christ upon the earth. I believe that the LDS (Mormon) church is God's true church and that Thomas Monson is the Lord's modern day prophet. I served a mission in Uruguay. This service strengthened my testimony of Joseph Smith, the Book of Mormon and that Jesus Christ died for our sins and is the Savior of the world.

How I live my faith

I'm a primary teacher for 10 year olds.
