Hi I'm Emma

I'm a musician, a sister to 5 siblings, and a missionary. But my favorite title is child of God. I know this because I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am from Nevada. I love being outdoors and playing the piano. I have played the piano since I was about eight years old and have performed in competitions and many recitals. I also love playing games with my family of eight people. My best feature is probably my smile, which is almost always on my face. I have had many experiences where the people in my life have affected me very positively and that is what I now strive to do. I love making other people's day better and helping others. I have been attending a university, but am taking a break from my schooling to serve a full-time mission to Arizona for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am excited to learn more and share what I know with others, while helping people come closer to Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

My family is almost all Mormon, but I have had times in my life that I wanted to know if the church was true. Although I had my doubts and uncertainties, I continued to live the standards of the church to the best of my ability. By practicing the different standards of my religion, I was able to come to a better understanding of why those standards were given and the protection that it gives people. My concerns started to shrink. I prayed several times and felt peace and happiness. I am a Mormon because of the peace and happiness that the church brings to me. I have received comfort many times through the truths of the gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to those around me. I hold to my standards, even though it's not always the popular thing to do. When I am in new situations and I have a problem, I try my best to do what the Lord would have me do. Right now, I feel Jesus Christ wants me to serve a mission, so I put my schooling on hold to follow what I believe Jesus Christ would have me do. As I missionary, I will have the opportunity to show my faith to the Lord as I serve where he has called me. I will be able to share my faith with others as I share my knowledge of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with the people I meet. I will get to help individuals and families improve their relationship with God and Jesus Christ, while improving my own relationship with them.
