Hi I'm Shane Hall

I was born in California, USA. I am a police detective. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a police officer for 16 years and I am currently assigned as a narcotics detective with a multi-agency drug task force. I investigate drug trafficking organizations (DTO's) that smuggle large amounts of illegal drugs and distribute them in the community. I enjoy the outdoors, hiking and fly fishing. I love the sport of wrestling and enjoy coaching youth wrestling programs. I've been happily married for over 20 years and have 6 wonderful children.

Why I am a Mormon

I absolutely love The Book of Mormon. It is the main reason that I have chosen to live my life as a disciple of Christ. It has helped me to understand that God has promised us wonderful blessings and peace if we choose to live by his standards and commandments. There is real power in its pages and I am forever grateful that the truth of this wonderful book has been revealed to me through God's Spirit.

How I live my faith

On weekdays our family gathers every evening to read and study the scriptures for about 30 minutes. We then kneel together to pray and give thanks for all of our many blessings. One night a week we try and do something fun as a family - see a movie, play a game or do some kind of service. My children attend youth activities during the week as well. Our family has chosen to spend our entire Sundays focusing on the spiritual side of life. This is the day when we get to let go of our worldly cares and recharge our batteries. We attend Sunday School and other important church meetings that help us draw closer to Jesus Christ and give us strength to face the difficulties of every day life.
