Hi I'm Nancy

I grew up mainly in the western United States. I am a descendant of Mormon pioneers. And I, too, am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mother and a grandmother. I have also been privileged to obtain an advanced degree in Family Studies, and have taught at several different colleges in this subject. I love teaching correct principles about family life. There's so much to learn that's good.

Why I am a Mormon

Mormonism is literally in my blood. I have Mormon pioneer ancestors on both sides of my family. Although this influenced my being a Mormon as a young person, I now have my own belief in this church, gained through experience, study and faith over nearly seventy years of life. This church provides a way of life that brings me peace and direction. It's teachings about the next life have given me solace after the passing of two of my siblings and also my parents. I believe and know that they still live and that I will see them again. I also have hope in the atoning power and grace of the Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Each week I attend worship services on the Sabbath. During the week I try to live out my faith by being a good neighbor and serving the needy when I can. I study the Gospel each day so I can be a better emissary of the truths I believe in. Soon I will devote eighteen months to serving full time as a volunteer missionary in Nauvoo, Illinois.
