Hi I'm Laurel

I grew up in Washington. My passion is art. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an average adult women who loves to be a child sometimes. I love movies with a passion and still play with legos. I read comics and draw in my spare time. I go to Church with my family and friends. I adore my cat and love to cuddle her all day. I read the scriptures each night with my family even when I don't understand a word it says. I love my family and I love who I am as a Latter-Day Saint.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member through my parents. I grew up in the Church, never questioning it, living under my parents testimony. I though I was strong member, I had never done anything to prove otherwise. When I graduated High school I was excited to go to college. I thought everything would be perfect. As I started to live alone in the world I stopped going to church. I didn't feel comfortable going to church when my school friends were not. Living without the gospel was not a happy time. I felt lonely and sick, my grades weren't the best and none of my "friends" wanted to be with me. Then I saw one of my youth friends. She was going on a mission and couldn't be happier. I wanted to share the joy that I saw in her, I wanted my life to be happy to. So I started going back to Church after I moved home. I began my mission papers and through that process I started to gain my own testimony. Going through the Temple for the first time was what really helped me. I now know that the Church of Jesus Christ if Latter-Day Saints is where I can find true joy. I know that this church is true and that the Temple is the House of the Lord and that His word is true and can be found through the scriptures and living Prophets today. I still have much to learn but I know that if I stay on the right path I won't be alone.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the teachings of Jesus Christ. I am serving a mission and I know its what I am supposed to do. I live by reading the Gospel and sharing it with others. I live by following the Prophet and doing what he asks even when I don't understand.
