Hi I'm Joel

I am a 19 year old first generation Cuban American that converted to the Church at age 12. I am a happy Mormon!

About Me

I am 19 years old and am serving as a missionary for the Church in Monterrey Mexico. I recently graduated from high school and have worked in the food service industry for the past four years saving money for my mission. I was the first of my family to be baptized at the young age of 12. When I saw the missionaries in my neighborhood, I knew that I had to talk to them. I brought to meet my mom and we took lessons from them. I was baptized first and then my mother followed a few months later. The, as an extra blessing my grand mother joined the church. My hobbies and interests include spending time with family and friends, hiking, singing, and serving others. I love to laugh and make others laugh.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a young boy, I received personal revelation that the Gospel of Jesus Christ as restored is true. I have not wavered in that belief. I have found much joy in my journey with the Mormon church.

How I live my faith

I keep my faith strong by praying everyday, going with the missionaries to teach the gospel, reading the scriptures, attending church, and spending time with friends who share my standards. I look to my Savior Jesus Christ as my example and always want to do his will for me.
