Hi I'm Barbi

I'm argentinian, mate lover, food enthusiastic and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love reading, since very young my parents encouraged me to enjoy reading and I do it whenever I can. My favorite books are often based on real facts, but I also like the classics and those that have to do with alternative worlds. I love working on my Family History to know where I come from. Thanks to this, I know that I have ancestries throughout Europe and also of native peoples of my country. I aspire to be an English translator once I return from my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

Throughout my life I have felt the influence of God helping me whenever I needed it. I know that if I have a question or need to make a decision, I can receive answers through prayer or scripture study. I obtained my testimony in a camp of the Church, and from there I began to act differently and to see in a different way everything that surrounded me. I know that God loves us and that we are His children, that He knows our needs and concerns and that He is always there when we need Him. Now that I am in my mission I understand more why the Gospel of Jesus Christ is so important for me. Knowing that I am a daughter of God and that he sent His son Jesus Christ to die and suffer for all my sins and mistakes give me strength to become better every day.

How I live my faith

The Church has always been a very important part of my life. As a child I attended Primary, an organization for children, where I learned stories about the Scriptures and songs about the Gospel. As a teenager, I attended Church camps and religious classes on the Scriptures, where I was able to strengthen my testimony. I also attended Young Women, an organization for young women ages 12 to 18 where we are taught that we are daughters of God and that our lives have meaning, purpose and direction. I had the opportunity to complete a goal booklet called My Personal Progress, in which the young women set goals to progress and prepare us to be women of God, mothers and wives. Before my mission I was counselor of the Young Women Presidency of the neighborhood where I attend on Sundays, preparing classes and organizing activities for young women such as dances, sporting events, group outings, movie nights, crafts and sewing arrangements. I'm actually serving a mission in Utah Salt Lake City Temple Square sharing my testimony and the basic beliefs of the Church.
