Hi I'm Daniela

I grew up in California. I will be serving a full-time mission in Houston, Texas. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

We live in this beautiful world which is why I try to spend my time outside going on adventures. Possibly hiking, playing basketball at the park, or just star gazing. If not then I spend my time reading novels. I'm currently reading the Fault in Our Stars. I recently graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho, with an emphasis in Public Relations. Since I'm finished with my schooling for now, I will be serving a full-time mission as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I know God lives. I've read, pondered, and prayed to our Heavenly Father to know if The Book of Mormon is true. I needed to know for myself if these things are true. I have received my answer, I know this is His church. I know that I'am a daughter of a Heavenly Father who loves me. Jesus Christ lived on this earth. He died for "me," like he did for you. Then resurrected so that I too can one day return to his presence. We have modern day prophets like in the Bible and The Book of Mormon. President Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God, who provides modern-day revelation. This is His church and he is our Savior.

How I live my faith

In His church, we are called to serve in different callings. Those callings can be from serving church members to directing music. Before leaving my home to serve a full-time mission I had been called to serve as a ward missionary. It was my calling to invite new members to church, visit those that are still fairly new in attendance and being a friend to everyone. In the end, I just wanted everyone to feel welcomed in His church.

What is faith?

Daniela
Faith can be officially defined as "belief with strong conviction" according to Webster's Dictionary. Which is true, but its more than that. As members of his Church we believe faith is "hope for things which are not seen, which are true" as read in Alma 32:21 of The Book of Mormon. I have faith that Jesus Christ is the head of our gospel. I've read The Book of Mormon and even though I wasn't there when it was actually written but I have faith the words of ancient prophets are true. I have faith in his gospel. Show more Show less
