Hi I'm Micayla

I'm a convert to the Church. I'm an EMT, world-traveler, and avid bookworm hoping to make a difference. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! I'm a college freshman at Brigham Young University studying Microbiology. The dream is to become a Physicians Assistant, specializing in emergency medicine or obstetrics. I'm a volunteer EMT with a passion for any kind of adventure, whether it be visiting a new country or stopping at hole-in-the-wall restaurant for lunch. My favorite things include my family, my BulletJournal and any kind of imported dark chocolate. Recently, I was called to serve in the Uruguay Montevideo Mission reporting summer of 2017! I'm unbelievably and beyond thrilled to serve the Lord and His people.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love my Savior. As a convert to the Church, I didn't grow up with the knowledge of an eternal Father in Heaven who loved me unconditionally. When I learned of Him and His nature, I found peace and joy in knowing I have someone who sees me as irreplaceable and valued in His sight. I have a testimony of the Restoration and of living prophets. I have a testimony of the infinite Atonement and the sacrifice Jesus Christ performed for me individually. I know my Savior lives. I am eternally grateful for this Gospel.

How I live my faith

My favorite way to live my faith and share my testimony is through example. Being a student at a church affiliated school, I've had the unique opportunity to hear of Christ's teachings both from the people I love and random strangers. I am also called as a teacher, which grants me the joy of sharing the love of Christ with extraordinary women. Now as a soon-to-be sister missionary, I'll be a representative of Jesus Christ and have the incredible opportunity to serve Him with every action I take. I'll be able to bear witness of His divinity and His life. I'm thrilled to serve the Lord and the people of Uruguay, living my faith in Jesus Christ with my whole heart and all the strength I have.
