Hi I'm Kaci

I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am 18 years old, and I am attending my first semester at BYU-Idaho. I love Oreos, making new friends, swimming, and traveling.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS church but I wasn't always completely converted. As a youth, I went through the motions to please those around me but lacked a testimony of my own. My conversion isn't like a lightbulb turning on, but more like sunrise, slowly showing. As I acted upon what I was always taught, (prayer, scripture study, church attendance) I was able to feel of the Savior's love for me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an active member in my ward at church and fulfilling my current calling as visiting teacher coordinator. I also do my visiting teaching every month and try to reach out to the girls I serve and make sure they have everything they need. I also live my faith through my actions. I try to show others the same Christ like love that I would like to be shown.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

In Moses 1:39, it says, "For behold, this is my work and my glory—to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man." That is the purpose of life, to one day have eternal life. But how do we do that? We came to this earth to receive a body, and to learn to choose between good and evil. As we go through life and gain experiences, we are tested and tried in hope that we rely on God for help through this life. We are also here to gain knowledge, and build family relationships that may also become eternal. Show more Show less
