Hi I'm Gail

Hello, I am a 62 year old mother of two and one grandson. I'm a farm girl in Georgia.

About Me

Hi, I'm a 62 year old mother of two and one grandson. I'm back on my 82 acre family farm after living in the city for most of my life. I am leaving for Salt Lake City, Utah for a senior mission in March and will miss all my farm animals but excited to serve my Savior. I like working on genealogy, scrap booking, camping and love nature.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized at the age of 8, like many other LDS members. At age 17 after graduation I decided it was time to live home, go out into the world and at that time I left the church. I always had a firm testimony of the truth of it but was not ready to live the standards of the gospel. What a big mistake on my part! I lost so many years of growth in the gospel and getting closer to my Father in Heaven. After I got married and had my first child, my non-member husband told me to call the missionaries, he knew after our daughter was born that there was a God. I was happy to contact the church again and become active with my husband and daughter. A year and half later we were all sealed together for all eternity. What a wonderful blessing that has been in my life. In 2012 when my companion of 30 years was taken home to Heavenly Father, through cancer, it was a great blessing and comfort to know that he and I, and our children can be together again after death, if we are worthy of that wonderful blessing. I am now going to serve in 2016-2017 as a senior missionary in the Salt Lake, Utah area. I love my Father in heaven and my Savior Jesus Christ. The gospel is true and is the Church of God and Jesus Christ. I know that if I live His gospel and do my best that I will be able to be in heaven with them again.

How I live my faith

I have been serving as the Single Adult Rep. (ages 30 -130) for the past year and loved getting to know the other single adults in the GA. area. Previous to that I was the Young Women's President for the girls ages 12-18. That was super cool getting to attend girl's camp with them and being able to teach them things that will help them in their future as adults, wives, and mothers.
