Hi I'm Ashlynn

I was born in the Utah, but was raised in the south. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

2nd oldest child out of 4 kids. I ran track in high school. High school graduate...Getting ready to serve an LDS Mission in Idaho. Raised in a small town. I love to draw and read Licensed cosmetologist.

Why I am a Mormon

I haven't always had a testimony... During that time, I struggled a lot! I was between the ages of 15-17. I began talking to a guy my freshman year of high school who was an active member of another local church. I wasn't very stable in my beliefs and I fought with my parents CONSTANTLY. -.- Throughout this time I struggled with all that a teenage girl experiences. This guy eventually became my boyfriend, I began going to his church with him and in return he began taking the LDS missionary discussions. He wasn't completely sincere about gaining a testimony of The Book of Mormon... I wasn't strong in my faith but I had accepted the challenge to read the entire book cover to cover. After reading I knew that the little knowledge I DID have was much to valuable and precious to give up. After 2 years, I made the choice to breakup with this guy.. I realized that he wasn't helping me to achieve my future goals. At the time it was the hardest decision that I had ever made.... although I was devastated I found peace as I went out with my dad and served others. As I look back, I now know that those choices I made when I was struggling and not sure of myself, had protected me from knowledge I didn't know about this guy. It led me to an increased knowledge about my Savior and I felt and overwhelming amount of peace! :) I am sooo grateful for the Holy Ghost that leads and guides us even in our weakest points. I am also grateful for the powerful witness of Jesus Christ found not only in the Holy Bible but also in The Book of Mormon. I asked questions and searched for the truth!! I found my answers... I am a Mormon because I have read and prayed about it and I received an answer that what I had read came from God.

How I live my faith

I live my faith my continually reminding myself that my actions speak louder than my words. I always do my best to uphold high standards. I want people to be able to look at me and see that my way of living makes me a happier person. And to know that it can all be traced back to my desire to follow Christ's example by word and deed. I do my best to lift up and serve others.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Ashlynn
The Mormon missionaries leave their homes and their families for a duration of 18 months to 2 years. They go to all parts of the world to find people who are willing to listen to their message of hope, peace, and love. They will answer questions like: Where did we come from? Where do we go after this life? How can I be with my family forever and not just here on earth? All the missionaries want to do, is help you to find lasting happiness. Show more Show less
