Hi I'm Linda Moss

I was born and raised in San Diego, California. I am a wife, a mother and a grandmother. I love music and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother and grandmother. I love music. I enjoy singing in choirs and playing the piano. I was a stay-at-home mom for over 30 years. I raised six sons, teaching them to play the piano, too. I decided to go to a Technical College to get training in Medical Office. While completing that course, I was able to get a job at a hospital in an outpatient clinic. I worked there for six years. Recently, my husband and I decided to 'downsize' to a 400 sq. foot cottage. We love it! It has been great to unburden ourselves from a lot of 'stuff'. It has helped me to figure out what is most important in life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Mormon church, but my father was not a member of the Church. My mother stayed strong, even with opposition and raised all of her children with the beliefs of the LDS church. I have been very grateful to have that foundation for my life. As a teenager I visited the places in New York state where the beginnings of the LDS Church happened. Through prayer, I received a very strong witness of the truthfulness of the church and of Joseph Smith as a prophet of God. Since that time, about 40 years ago, I have tried to make choices that will keep me close to my Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. We all make mistakes and sin, but through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we can repent and be forgiven and made clean. I am so thankful for His grace and mercy for me and all mankind.

How I live my faith

During all the years that I was raising our children, I did a lot of volunteer work in the schools and community, such as tutoring in the "I Can Read" program, playing the piano for school programs and serving as an Election judge. Over the years I have also sung in many church and community choirs, using the talents with which I was blessed. I have played the piano for many church meetings also, which fills my heart with joy because I love the hymns of the gospel. Currently I am teaching Sunday School in the adult class with my husband. I have enjoyed this so much, because I have studied even more deeply from the scriptures and the teachings of prophets. I'm thankful for opportunities to serve others through teaching, visiting and music. This past December, I was able to travel to Guatemala with a choir group to bear testimony and sing the hymns of Christmas with many families there. It was a very humbling experience to visit with people in their homes, sing some hymns in their native language, share the Spirit, and leave with a prayer. I really felt like we were able to "lift up the hands that hang down" and to bring peace and comfort to many souls. I am so grateful for that incredible experience. My husband and I have recently been called as full-time senior missionaries to serve in Singapore. I am looking forward to serving the wonderful people in Singapore and Malaysia.
