Hi I'm Kindra Moore

I grew up in a town of 500 in northeast Oregon. I love taking pictures, being active, and enjoying God's creations. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being active, especially outdoors. I love basketball, volleyball, softball, soccer, hiking, camping, fishing, and playing in the water (even though I'm not the best swimmer). I also enjoy photographing God's creations. I am going to college in Utah and loving it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have felt Heavenly Father's love for me as I listen and follow His teachings. The Book of Mormon is the word of God. I have felt peace and comfort while reading it in some difficult times in my life. God has answered my prayers. I know He is there, listening and willing to help us if we turn to Him. I am a Mormon because I am happiest when I am at church, or when I read the scriptures, or listen to talks given by our modern-day prophets. This church brings my family and I so much joy and help.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others. I am leaving my family and friends to serve an 18 month long mission in Santiago Chile on June 22nd. Besides this, service is a huge part of my life. I volunteer at elementary schools and help students learn math.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Kindra Moore
Because Heavenly Father loves us, He has provided sacred writings called scriptures. These scriptures have been given to us by God through prophets and apostles. We believe the Bible to be the word of God. In addition to the Bible, we believe The Book of Mormon, The Doctrine and Covenants, and The Pearl of Great Price are also scripture and the word of God. These scriptures can help you know God and better understand His plan for you. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Kindra Moore
Jesus Christ is literally the Son of God. He created this earth for us, under God's direction. He led a completely perfect life. He provided an example for how we should live our lives. He suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane and died on the cross to perform the Atonement. As we follow Him and repent, we can be forgiven of our sins and wrong-doings. Through His Resurrection, He overcame death, and because of this, we can all be resurrected as well, or our spirits will one day reunite with our bodies after we die. Jesus Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of the world. As we follow Him, we will be blessed. Show more Show less
