Hi I'm Kelly

I'm from Indiana. I love BYU. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm almost 20 years old and a student at Brigham Young University. While at school I took lots of acting classes and theatre related classes, but as far as a career goes, I'm lost! I'm still trying to figure out what I'm passionate about and what I'd like to major in. I'm also a big fan of BYU football. My favorite part of the fall semester is going to the home games and cheering on my school! I'm currently taking a year and a half off of school to serve as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the knowledge that my religion provides brings peace into my life. Knowledge such as the possibility of being with my family forever as well as knowing that Heavenly Father loves me and that I am His daughter. Knowing that He sent His only begotten Son to be the perfect example for me to follow helps me be a better person. The knowledge that Jesus Christ lives richly blesses my life. To know that I am never alone, that He is always there for me, and that He understands exactly what I'm going through because of His atonement and suffering for my sins. Because of His great sacrifice, I can live with Him and our Father again someday.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is an everyday process. I don't just live my faith because I'm a missionary, I lived it everyday before my mission and I'll live it every day after my mission. However, during the next year and a half I'll be dedicating all of my time and energy to my faith and inviting others to come unto Jesus Christ and accept His atonement and His gospel.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Kelly
Yes! His name is Thomas S. Monson and just like Moses, Noah, and other biblical prophets, he was chosen of God to lead and guide Christ's church on the earth today. Just like God spoke to His people in the days of Moses, He speaks to us today through a living prophet. God wouldn't just stop speaking to us because we live in modern times, He created us and wants us to come back to live with Him again, and we can do so by heeding the prophetic counsel of both modern and ancient prophets.
