Hi I'm Tyler

I'm from Georgia, Ohio and Arkansas. I am studying French at Brigham Young University. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at Brigham Young University. When I'm not doing homework (which is a rarity) I love to reread my favorite novels, watch Jane Austen movies and bake cookies, (all at the same time if I can manage it). I also like writing letters to my friends who live all around the world, I enjoy studying and speaking French and spending time with my new college buddies.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. Life is hard. We all face difficult things. I have my own feelings of insecurity and stress, and my faith doesn't just take this all away. However, because of my membership in this Church, I have learned that through the Atonement of Jesus Christ and through His grace I can receive divine help and strength to overcome my trials and not just endure life, but endure it well. I believe that everyone can find peace in the message shared by our loving Savior and through the sacrifice He made in our behalf. The hard things in life do not just disappear with this knowledge, but because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I know I am a Child of God who can do hard things and find joy in this journey.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through the little things I aim to fill my life with each day. I live it by studying the Bible and Book of Mormon, by praying morning and night, by using clean language, dressing modestly, serving others and recognizing my individual worth and being kind to myself. I live my faith every day as I strive to understand the plan that God has specifically tailored to me and by making choices that I feel would make Him proud. In my congregation, I am responsible for teaching the other women my age on Sundays. By fulfilling this assignment I try to show Heavenly Father that I am willing to play my part in serving and teaching my fellow men about His Gospel and commandments.
